Sir Donald George Bradman, famously known as The Don and The Boy from Bowral, was a legendary Australian cricketer born on 27 August 1908 in Cootamundra, New South Wales, Australia. He played for Australia between 1928 and 1948, setting unmatched records with a Test average of 99.94. His remarkable batting skills, grace, and consistency made him a national hero. Bradman passed away on 25 February 2001 in Kensington Park, South Australia. He was of English and Italian descent, followed Christianity, and enjoyed playing tennis, singing, and playing piano. Bradman was a non-vegetarian and is remembered not only as Australia’s finest cricketer but as one of the greatest sportsmen in history.
